Architect Noel Lane creates a lithograph at Muka Studio celebrating the renovations of the museum.
The Auckland War Memorial Museum is undoubtedly one of the icons of the Auckland cultural landscape.
Muka is proud to donate the labor and the materials towards the production of this original print based on the innovative design of the dome now crowning the grand building in the domain.
the print
Only fifty copies were printed on archival all cotton paper Arches 88. At the price of $850 the public can obtain a genuine collector’s item and, since all proceedings go directly to the museum, contribute to this outstanding Auckland institution.
the book
The price also includes a gratis copy of a book to be published in March 2007 providing a text and visual account of the refurbishment and redevelopment works at the Museum, 1994-2006.
The book has texts by David Mitchell and Rodney Wilson, with an interview with Noel Lane, as well as extensive photography of all aspects of the work.
